A Commitment to Civility
I supported Burnsville’s commitment to civility, dignity and respect in local government.
The City Council’s civility resolution recognizes that people can bring different experiences, ideas and perspectives to the table while still listening to one another, treating people with respect and working together for the common good.
Those principles matter. Respectful disagreement and collaboration help build trust and keep the focus where it belongs: serving Burnsville.
Expanding Pickleball in Our Parks
I’ve advocated for additional pickleball opportunities in Burnsville as demand for the sport has continued to grow.
Following a comprehensive feasibility process examining several City parks, the City Council directed staff to move forward with Cliff Fen Park as the location for a new eight-court pickleball complex.
Cliff Fen offers access, parking and existing park amenities while providing greater separation from nearby homes. I’m pleased to see the project moving forward and look forward to the next steps in its development.
